On-Call Requirement: Willingness to provide on-call support (shared 1-in-3 team rotation)
Role Purpose
To support and manage the Azure Virtual Desktop estate, ensuring secure, high-performing, and highly available remote working environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct end-user support as part of a dedicated AVD support team
- Manage and maintain all aspects of the Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure
- Administer host pools, images, user/application access, and resource groups
- Support and customise multi-user environments using FSLogix and NetApp (or equivalent)
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery across AVD components
- Participate in on-call support (1-in-3 rotation, coordinated by supplier)
- Occasional travel to Gloucester Business Park (remote-first working model)
Desirable Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) pipelines for infrastructure management
