Daniel comes from an experienced recruitment background spanning over 20 years in the IT market. Over 12 years of this have been spent running recruitment companies across different sectors, building teams and training recruiters to be the best they can in order to provide a high quality of service across both the permanent and contract market.
Having built so many friends and contacts along the way SDS are expanding year on year, achieving new heights, new targets and more importantly, growing the SDS name.
Being an avid Crystal Palace FC fan, Dan and SDS became an Associate Partner for the club in 2022 and now enjoys seeing the SDS name in lights around the ground.

Jack Thompson
Associate Director
Jack has over 10 years’ experience within the recruitment industry notably within the IT sector.
During this time he has acquired a strong reputation for being a real peoples person and strives to provide impartial advice to help all candidates and clients in different circumstances which isn’t always in his best personal interest. He takes an in-depth, highly pragmatic approach to both candidates and clients and challenges himself to provide stellar service to ensure everyone is highly satisfied with the outcome. Jack then joined Shaw Daniels Solutions in February 2018 where he immediately made a big impact, overachieving his firsts years targets by some way.
Having now been with SDS for over 5 years Jack has gone on to become a specialist head-hunter within the tech sector specialising in senior appointments globally whilst also Managing a team of 8 consultants. Now one of the most recognised head-hunters in his discipline.
Luke Morgan
Principal Associate
Luke has now been with SDS for a year, gaining valuable experience from his senior colleagues. Luke has extensive experience in sales, with his previous role at an Estate Agents providing clients with a professional service keeping their best interests at the centre of what they do.
Luke proved that he has skills to after a successful first year of resourcing and onboarding new clients. He has the ability to communicate at all levels and has the ability to pick things up quickly. Luke is now supporting the junior consultants as SDS grows as a company, working across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Services and Web/Software Development amongst other technology sectors.
Outside of work Luke has a big interest in Football, supporting his local team Reading FC. He is also a keen gym enthusiast, enjoys travelling and attending music/festivals.
Liam Tappin
Senior Associate
Liam has now been with SDS for over 7 months, taking in experience from his senior peers around him. Liam has extensive experience in sales, having worked previously as a Senior Negotiator at an Estate Agents and other customer focused roles.
Liam is currently proving that his previous experience is helping within his first months of resourcing for our clients. Liam is great at communicating throughout the whole team and always eager to learn and help where he can. He will continue to be working across Infrastructure Services and Web/Software Development amongst other technology sectors.
Outside of work Liam enjoys going out with friends for drinks, meals and watching football with his other passion being Arsenal FC. Liam is also learning to play golf.
Liam is keen to continue with his development of the recruitment world, setting himself new work and personal challenges to exceed targets and benefit from all the great incentives here at SDS.
Olivia Emmerson
Recruitment Consultant
Over the past year, Olivia has kickstarted her recruitment journey working in a variety of sectors. She has already gained excellent knowledge and wanted to pursue a career with a dynamic company within the IT and technology sector to showcase her skillset. With an extensive background within sales, Olivia enjoys liaising with a variety of people and takes pride on her ability to form long term relationships.
Outside of work, Olivia has a keen interest in art and illustration. She also enjoys attending a variety of music festivals and DJing in her spare time.
Matt Hayes
Principal Associate
Matt has over 7 years of experience as a sales professional in the automotive and real estate industries, and is known for his motivation, results-driven approach, and ability to build strong relationships. He began his career in 2015 as an estate agent, where he quickly became recognized as a top producer, consistently surpassing sales targets and successfully closing deals. In 2018, Matt transitioned to car sales and continued to excel in his role.
Now, as a member of the Shaw Daniels Solutions team, Matt is eager to utilize his expertise and experience to help the company achieve its objectives. He is confident that he can make a significant impact and is committed to supporting the company’s success. In his leisure time, Matt enjoys staying active by working out at the gym, spending time with friends, and pursuing his passion for motocross. He is a skilled rider and relishes the challenges of the sport.
Lauren Tolley
Business Operations Manager
Lauren started her career on an Apprenticeship scheme within the Private Clients Insurance sector, after nearly ten years at one of the leading Insurance Brokers, Lauren built knowledge and experience within Administration, Management, Operations and Customer Service. After a short career break, Lauren began a new career within Recruitment.
Lauren joined Shaw Daniels Solutions at the end of 2018 as a Business Recruitment Administrator and has since been promoted to Business Operations Manager, still supporting the administration function, Lauren also manages the Human Resources and Marketing needs within the business.
Outside of work, Lauren spends her free time juggling mum-life and socialising with friends and family.
Lauren Dixon
Recruitment Administrator
Lauren has been with SDS for 10 months as a Recruitment Administrator supporting the consultants on a daily basis, bringing enthusiasm and strong administration skills. Lauren has a background in Lettings Management, administration and managing property portfolios alongside bringing up her young family.
Outside of work you will likely find Lauren socialising with friends and family, in a pub with a large glass of red or planning her next holiday!
Emma-Jay Gardiner
Recruitment Administrator
Emma joins us as a Recruitment Administrator, assisting our consultants on a daily basis with all administration needs. Emma comes from a background in events management and is a previous business owner within the beauty and indoor tanning industry.
Emma will manage the companies social media so keep your eye out for all team news/office life and SDS incentives
In her spare time Emma can be found watching and supporting her two boys playing football and her daughter on the cheerleading stage! She also enjoys socialising with friends and family with a gin or two in hand!
