Role Overview
Provide expert support in planning, upgrading, managing, and optimising the Windows 10 (and future) operating system estate. The role involves working closely with deployment teams, service operations, and enterprise architects to deliver a secure, scalable, and compliant desktop environment.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Lead annual Windows 10 feature/version upgrade cycles
- Implement and maintain Windows-as-a-Service (WaaS)
- Strong knowledge of new Windows 10 build features
- Manage end-to-end change control, including solution design, risk management, and escalations
- Demonstrated expertise (E3 level) in Windows Imaging, SCCM, PowerShell, and MDT
- Build and maintain MDT images, including driver and Microsoft patch updates
- Investigate and apply GPO changes and Active Directory policy updates
- Package and deploy applications using SCCM
- Support auto-enrolment and Windows compliance policies
- Oversee enterprise provisioning, lifecycle, and asset management
- Provide 2nd/3rd line incident resolution
- Raise and manage change requests, including participation in CAB meetings
- Collaborate with deployment specialists and drive continual service improvements
