Role Overview
Our clients are looking for a proactive and highly skilled Senior IT Support Engineer to join their Munich team. This hands-on role requires deep expertise across Microsoft technologies, networking infrastructure, and automation. You will be instrumental in supporting end-user devices, managing servers, and leading a full IT infrastructure migration as they establish their new Munich office.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support across Microsoft technologies
- Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, Azure
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure:
- Routers, switches, firewalls, LAN/WAN setups
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding of users and devices to ensure smooth transitions and compliance
- Set up, configure, and deploy physical and virtual servers
- Lead the end-to-end migration and infrastructure setup for the new Munich office
- Implement and maintain automation solutions, including AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and scalability
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and security
- Collaborate with global IT teams to align standards and share best practices
- Document processes, configurations, and procedures for the internal knowledge base
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior IT support or infrastructure engineering role
- Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, Azure
- Solid understanding of networking principles and hands-on experience with:
- Routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti)
- Experience with server deployment, setup, and migration projects
- Familiarity with automation tools and AI-based deployment strategies
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
Desirable Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator Associate)
- Networking certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell) and automation platforms
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM)
