IT Onsite Support Technician

 

 

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Onsite Support Technician to join our team in Meyzieu. This is a highly visible role supporting around 550 employees on-site while also contributing to IT projects such as system migrations, implementations, and project management.

The successful candidate will be fluent in both English and French, have strong technical expertise, and act as the key point of contact for IT support locally. You will combine hands-on troubleshooting with the ability to drive projects forward, while building strong relationships across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site IT support for approximately 550 employees, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Act as the primary IT point of contact on-site, building strong relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to and lead elements of IT projects, including migrations, implementations, and process improvements.
  • Deliver technical support across Windows OS, macOS, Chrome OS, Android OS, and OSS environments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Support system administration tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.
  • Maintain and track tickets in ServiceNow (or similar ITSM system), ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with global IT teams and external vendors on escalations and new technology rollouts.
  • Participate in IT procurement processes, hardware refresh cycles, and contribute to IT budgeting.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on IT policies, tools, and best practices.
  • Be flexible to occasionally work evenings or weekends for critical maintenance or urgent issues.

 

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
  • Strong track record in IT end-user support with at least 6 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience providing onsite IT support in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSS as well as Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience in IT migration, implementation, and project management.
  • Skilled at multitasking, problem-solving, and delivering results under pressure.

 

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders locally and globally.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) and VDI/VM creation.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and mobile device management (iPhone, iPad, BYOD).

 

Preferred:

  • CmpTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or similar certifications.
  • Experience working in multicultural, global environments.
  • Familiarity with Wintel servers and IT procurement processes.
