  • Team in Finance: 2 direct reports + 4 ‘dotted line’ based in Germany, US, Spain and Hungary.

 

Summary of Position and Objectives

  • Support the international Leadership team to manage the overall performance of Gold Standard Diagnostics and their respective support teams in all the countries (USA, Europe, Asia).
  • Partner as a service provider with the divisional leader(s) and support decision making processes, while ensuring financial discipline.
  • Reinforce structure, processes and standardisation in a fast-moving environment with rapid growth in multiple geographies and activities.
  • Lead, coach and develop the finance teams under his/her scope.

 

Position & Objectives                        

  • Act as a business partner to the Leaders of the International Business Line Gold Standard Diagnostics by contributing to the mid-term strategy for our clients high growth business lines (R&D, laboratories footprint, new & extended sites, expansion in new countries, services portfolio management, logistic and supply chain).
  • Lead and be in charge of the budget process and deliverables for the International Business Line (“IBL”).
  • Lead and support the financial Governance of the IBL.
  • Alert and proactively support the implementation of action plans in case of deviations.
  • Ensure the IBL remains complaint with all Financial internal guidelines.
  • Define and monitor transfer pricing models for the hub & spoke models.
  • Ensure the implementation and use of relevant ad hoc financial KPIs when needed, especially for businesses encompassing activities beyond testing services such as manufacturing and subcontracting.
  • Carry out day-to-day leadership and performance management of the teams, processes and activities, including the development of strong finance and support teams (HR, IT, Marketing, Internal Consulting).
  • Lead budgeting, financial reporting, and controlling (financials & headcounts) for Gold Standard Diagnostics
  • Drive the implementation of standard processes, KPIs and controls through industrial/permanent improvement measures, and operational/commercial excellence metrics for individual areas of activity.
  • Develop and implement sourcing and standardisation strategies in order to obtain significant purchasing savings.
  • Oversee the acquisitions planned and completed by supporting due diligence processes and leading the restructuring and integration of newly acquired companies.
  • Lead or take part in transversal projects across Gold Standard Diagnostics.
  • Coordinate HR matters.
  • Recruit, develop and promote talented leaders and manage succession planning.
  • Oversee roll-out of IT solutions within the Company Technologies.

 

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering or Chemistry, from a leading university.
  • Strong leader with proven track record in initiating/leading change and developing strong teams while achieving/exceeding ambitious targets in a sustainable manner.
  • Extensive, professional experience in operational finance roles with increasing level & scope of responsibility.
  • Experience in a R&D, Manufacturing and Marketing international organisation.
  • Able to lead and inspire large teams across multiple countries & geographies.
  • Solid knowledge of finance policies, processes and finance systems, with a track record of improving finance processes.
  • Strong project and change manager, with a natural drive to challenge the status quo, and able to initiate and lead change with sustainable results.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.
  • Strong track record of building strong internal and external business relationships.
  • Ability to communicate vision, strategies, issues, and action plans to senior management.
  • Track record of setting challenging goals and holding him/herself and others on the team accountable to those goals in order to deliver results.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload to ensure appropriate controls while driving forward strategic initiatives.
