Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer

Clearance Requirement: UK Security Clearance (SC) – Mandatory

Role Purpose

The Application Packaging & Deployment Engineers will be responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying applications using SCCM and Intune. The role ensures software delivery is efficient, standardised, and compliant across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Package applications using Admi Studio, InstallShield, and PowerShell.
• Ensure consistency by maintaining package standards and naming conventions.
• Migrate legacy applications to MSIX or Intune deployment models.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications via SCCM and Intune.
• Administer and maintain deployment infrastructure (collections, boundaries, distribution points).
• Manage application rollouts across pre-production and production environments.
• Produce clear documentation and share knowledge with internal teams.
• Contribute to change management and governance processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven background in application packaging (MSI, App-V, Intune).
• Strong expertise in SCCM (Current Branch).
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch).
• Solid understanding of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Hands-on experience with Intune, Autopilot, and Conditional Access.
• Desirable Skills & Certifications
• Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MD-102).
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience working in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
