Head of Order & Provisioning Management

 

 

Our client is looking for a Head of Order & Provisioning Management to lead the development, integration, and support of applications related to order orchestration and order fulfillment across the organization.

 

This role is critical to ensuring seamless automation of order provisioning from the moment an order is captured in the sales system through to implementation within the network elements and downstream systems. As the leader in this space, you will drive innovation in order and provisioning automation, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business goals.

 

The role will require a strategic approach to building and enhancing automation processes, with a focus on leveraging an iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) solution for the decomposition and orchestration of orders across multiple systems. You will collaborate closely with business operations, some of which handle manual provisioning tasks, ensuring that the provisioning processes are integrated and efficient.

 

Its also about supporting and maintaining our legacy system in this area, with their databases and APIs and lead the work on carving out functionality as part of the transformation into a modern architecture.

 

You will report to the IT Director of Operational Platforms.

 

Main Tasks

Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for order orchestration and provisioning automation across the business.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of order management, ensuring seamless integration between the sales system and network elements for order fulfillment.
  • Lead the design and optimization of automated workflows that improve the efficiency of order capture, decomposition, and provisioning across downstream systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in order fulfillment processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational efficiency.

Integration and iPaaS Management

  • Develop solutions that automate the provisioning of orders, leveraging the iPaaS platform to integrate and manage processes across multiple systems.
  • Lead the integration efforts between the sales order systems, provisioning systems, and network elements, ensuring seamless data flow and process orchestration.
  • Utilize the iPaaS platform to create efficient, reliable integrations between various systems, ensuring orders are processed and fulfilled quickly and accurately.
  • Oversee the development of integration solutions that ensure all systems, including downstream systems, receive the appropriate order details for provisioning.

 

Development Leadership & Support

  • Work closely with the business operations team to ensure manual provisioning processes are well-supported, efficient, and integrated into the broader automated workflows.
  • Lead a team of developers and IT specialists in the design, development, and support of order management and provisioning solutions.
  • Ensure that systems are supported, maintained, and optimized to meet changing business requirements, with minimal downtime or service disruptions.
  • Implement best practices in development, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality and reliable order orchestration and fulfillment systems.

 

Qualifications & Professional Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in order management, order fulfillment, and provisioning automation in an IT environment.
  • Proven experience with iPaaS solutions and integration platforms, with a strong understanding of API management, process orchestration, and system integration.
  • Experience working with network systems and the orchestration of orders from sales systems into network elements.
  • Strong understanding of order decomposition and the integration of multiple downstream systems in a large, complex IT environment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex IT projects focused on automation and integration.
  • Experience from leading development teams in complex environments.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics365 is a plus.
