Summary Of Position and Objectives

The overall objective of this position is to:

  • Take ownership of the Group’s financial performance management, and lead and manage some of the Group’s key finance teams (FP&A and Finance IT & Processes)
  • Provide top management and operational leaders with accurate and reliable financial information to enable fast decision making
  • Update and deploy the necessary processes and tools to collect, report and use financial information across the Group
  • Lead, coach and develop the finance teams under their scope.


Role & Objectives

  • As Head of FP&A and IT Finance, you will be working closely with the Group CFO and CEO, the Group Operating Council members, and core Group Finance & Administration teams to ensure that a culture of financial performance management is firmly established in a fast-growing and complex environment.
  • This role encompasses several finance departments at Group level (FP&A and Finance IT & Processes). This scope will enable you to define, build and manage the necessary processes, tools and teams to provide top management and operational leaders with the relevant financial information for fast decision making.
  • Group Controlling (20 FTEs): Lead and manage the Group’s Controlling Team (Business Line Controllers, Group Service Centres Controllers, IT Controllers), who are responsible for the budget processes of the whole Group, encompassing Group costs, as well as all business units and legal entities of the Group, so that P&L, balance sheet, capex and cash flow are properly budgeted on a monthly basis along several analytical dimensions. Monitor monthly and quarterly deviations in terms of P&L, capex, networking capital and other key metrics, alerting and challenging business and Business Line CFOs when necessary, to help them bring solutions to bridge gaps and monitor the action plans taken.
  • Group Finance IT & Processes (over 60 FTEs): Define key financial processes for the Group, act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) on these processes and the relevant Group tools implemented to carry them, and act as overall Project Manager for the deployment of Group solutions in the area of finance and administration, in liaison with Group IT teams and other key stakeholders.
  • The Deputy CFO/ The Head of FP&A and IT Finance will recruit, develop, and promote talented leaders and manage succession planning for their scope with an objective to contribute to the overall talent pool of financial profiles for the Group.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Sciences from a leading university is preferred
  • Strong leader with proven track record of initiating / leading change and developing strong teams while achieving/exceeding ambitious targets in a sustainable manner
  • Over 15 years of experience in finance roles with increasing level and scope of responsibility, with both local and regional/group roles such as Finance Director, and FP&A manager
  • People manager, able to lead and inspire large teams across multiple countries & geographies
  • Solid knowledge of finance policies, processes and finance systems, with a track record of improving finance processes
  • Strong project & change manager, with a natural drive to challenge the status quo, and ability to initiate & lead change
  • Good interpersonal, communication & team leadership skills
  • Strong track record of building strong internal and external business relationships
  • Strong ability to communicate vision, strategies, issues, and action plans to senior management
  • Track record of setting challenging goals and holding yourself and others on the team accountable to those goals in order to deliver results
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload to ensure appropriate controls while driving forward strategic initiatives.
