Job Description

  • National Service Centre Management: Oversee the National Services Centre (NSC) in Belgium, managing services for Group management entities and holdings in Luxembourg and Belgium.
  • Financial Process Custodian: Act as the custodian of financial information quality and processes for Group service functions outside Belgium and Luxembourg, including Ireland, Poland, and India.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of approximately 10 employees across Brussels and Luxembourg, in collaboration with stakeholders from Group Service Centres (M&A, Legal, Treasury, Group Accounting).
  • Day-to-Day Financial Operations: Manage daily finance activities, including accounting & reporting, payroll & HR, treasury, tax & legal, and finance IT, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery.
  • Service Quality and Compliance: Ensure the quality, efficiency, and compliance of services delivered for the Belgian and Luxembourg service centers, including oversight of external audits and internal controls.
  • Invoicing Management: Ensure timely and reliable invoicing of all Group fees to the operating legal entities.
  • Direct Management: Oversee and ensure compliance of the Finance and Payroll teams in Brussels with local regulations.
  • Inter-company Transactions: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for inter-company transactions, managing Group guidance, process description, improvement, and the ‘Inter-co community’.

 

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Extensive experience, preferably with knowledge of Belgian Finance/Tax/Payroll. Experience in reorganization and change management is essential.
  • Project Management: Proven project management experience, ideally with IT implementation.
  • People Management: Strong people management and motivation skills, with the ability to develop and lead teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, with a focus on evaluating and improving efficiency and progress.
  • Results-Oriented: A track record of delivering results in a structured, detail-oriented, and reliable manner.
  • Personal Attributes: High energy, drive, and passion to succeed, along with being pragmatic, proactive, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Experience in Big 4 Audit: Experience in a Big 4 audit firm is considered a plus.

 

Language Skills

  • English: Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • French: Beneficial but not essential.
