Our Client

They are an international grant making and strategy platform. They work with foundations, peer re-granting organisations and more than 200 civil society partners to surge clean power and phase down coal and gas in the context of a just transition. They were formed in 2013 and are comprised of a small and dedicated international team of exceptional people based around the World.

They are looking for a skilled Data Analyst for a short-term, 3-month project to play a crucial role in sourcing, analysing, and visualizing data, transforming it into meaningful insights that lead to an annual energy report. The Data Analyst will primarily work with the CEO, the Senior Communications Associate and relevant programme team members when it is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Data Sourcing & Verification

  • Identify, collect, and verify data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness, while collaborating with key stakeholders

Data Analysis & Visualization

  • Analyse raw data and organize it into actionable formats to support objectives. Create clear, compelling data visualizations (charts, dashboards, graphs) using Excel and PowerPoint.

Report Creation and Delivery

  • Analyse and distil complex data into clear, actionable insights tailored to the needs of the stakeholders that will form the foundation of a final report.
  • Compile a detailed, well-structured report that encompasses all findings, key metrics, and recommendations based on the data analysis.
  • Ensure that the report is presented in a manner accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using data visualizations and clear narratives to convey the insights effectively.

 

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with energy and power sector.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and Power Point.
  • Familiarity with data sourcing and data validation techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization and turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to translate data into clear narratives.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
