Meet the Team
IT Managing Director
Daniel comes from an experienced recruitment background spanning over 17 years in the IT market. The last 10 have been spent running recruitment companies across different sectors, building teams and training recruiters to be the best they can in order to provide a high quality of service across both the permanent and contract market.
Starting out as a resourcer back in 2002, Daniel quickly climbed the ladder and was promoted several times from a trainee recruiter right through to a Recruitment Manager. It was then he decided to go it alone and start his own recruitment agency back in 2011.
This turned in to a great success and since then has gone on to open four more agencies, one of which is Shaw Daniels Solutions (SDS).
Having built so many friends and contacts along the way SDS and his group of companies to date, are expanding year on year, achieving new heights, new targets and more importantly, growing not just the SDS name, but the whole group of companies.
Senior IT Recruitment Specialist
Jack has 7 years’ experience within the recruitment industry notably within the IT sector.
During these 7 years he has acquired a strong reputation for being a real peoples person and strives to provide impartial advice to help all candidates and clients in different circumstances which isn’t always in his best personal interest. He takes an in-depth, highly pragmatic approach to both candidates and clients and challenges himself to provide stellar service to ensure everyone is highly satisfied with the outcome.
Jack then joined Shaw Daniels Solutions in February 2018 where he immediately made a big impact, overachieving his firsts years targets by some way.
Having now been with SDS for nearly 3 years Jack has gone on to become a Senior IT Recruitment Specialist within his field taken on specialist vacancies within the infrastructure arena, no matter what level. Now one of the most recognised IT Recruitment Specialists in his discipline, working with some of the UK’s & Europe’s largest accounts.
A Senior Specialist IT Recruiter, turned Recruitment Manager, with over 9 years’ experience in the game. Recruitment was never on the agenda for Arron, coming from a very footballing focused background, rising through the ranks from the youth team at Crystal Palace between 2003-2005, then moving his senior career to the Crystal Palace first team throughout the years of 2005-2008 playing against the likes of Inter Milan. Several injuries later took its toll and Arron’s footballing career was unfortunately over.
Undecided about where his career would take him, knowing he needed to stay within a competitive environment and always strive to be the best, he fell into recruitment and has never looked back.
Applying the same methods and discipline to recruitment as he had when playing professional football, he found he was able to really make a difference and become a top recruiter within the market. Jump forward 9 years, Arron is now a well-respected senior IT Recruiter/Manager who brings a wealth of experience and talent to an already existing team at SDS, having outperformed his peers in current roles, smashing targets and overachieving those targets on numerous occasions. Senior Recruitment Consultant
Wendy is one of the most vibrant and outgoing people you will speak to in the recruitment industry. She is a real people’s person and with this builds great relationships with clients. Building relationships with new and existing clients is what has got here to this point today. It has allowed her to bill circa £500,000 in her best year whilst also managing a specialist team of recruiters within her sector. This saw the team bill well in to the £1 million mark.
Originally coming from the Insurance & Risk sector, Wendy saw huge potential for a switch to the IT sector given her clientele base. Wendy has proven time and time again she is a big biller and she now combines both the IT and Insurance & Risk sector together. Something very unique that I’m sure will prove to be a big success.
Of a weekend she loves to party, travel and relax with friends but never taking her eye off the ball when it comes to work.
IT Recruitment Specialist
Outside of work Luis is an avid petrol head, his main hobby being dirt bike riding of a weekend. Following on from this, he has a real passion for football but that wasn’t why he joined the SDS team……
Luis is now in to his 6th year of recruitment, joining our team of experienced recruiters within the IT sector. Luis has experience working in small and large teams, more recently helping a company grow from 30 to 70 staff. He brings a wealth of experience to the team specialising in Frontend, Backend and Full stack Development to name a few, covering the UK and European markets.
Luis complements the team with his contacts, knowledge and personality. He is someone that will not give up and will give 110% to every project he works for his clients and won’t stop until the job is done.
With over 20 years working across various retail sectors, Kevin is an experienced manager who has led the recruitment process, from building shop floor teams to hiring senior managers from the client side. After a number of successful years in retail, Kevin decided to embark on a new career in recruitment. Since joining Shaw Daniels Solutions, in 2018, he has used his knowledge of recruitment from the client side to build strong relationships with candidates ensuring they are represented well and find the right opportunity for the longer term.
IT Recruitment Specialist
Lewis is a young, hungry and determined sales specialist turned Recruitment Specialist 3 years ago within the IT sector, across ERP, CRM & SAP disciplines. Covering multiple markets across the UK and Europe, Lewis has managed to build great contacts within his field, both within the contract and permanent markets. Lewis is one of those characters that will not stop until he meets his goals in and outside of work, which makes him the perfect personality to thrive within this market.
Of a weekend Lewis is a big sports fan, in particular football, F1, Golf and MMA/UFC to name a few.
DevOps Recruitment Specialist
Vorberg now enters his 3rd year in the world of recruitment. Having learned the game very quickly he has gone on to hit target after target, incentive after incentive. Vorberg is a born recruiter who loves nothing more than working a dual 360 desk within the DevOps arena.
Not only is he a specialist recruiter within DevOps, his main passion is the world of tech and digital, so really understands the market and is there to advice and guide clients when needed. HE has a real understand for most technologies which is a rare skill in IT recruitment, but he has it.
This has allowed him to build a large but strong network of highly skilled contacts within their field across the UK and Europe, in both the contract and permanent markets.
Off a weekend Vorberg loves to get technical and is always looking to build new machines, computers and so on. When he’s not doing that your find him fishing or generally out on the town.
Business Recruitment Administrator
Lauren started her career on an Apprenticeship scheme within the Private Clients Insurance sector, after nearly ten years at one of the leading Insurance Brokers, Lauren built knowledge and experience within Administration, Management, Operations and Customer Service. After a short career break, Lauren began a new career within Recruitment. Lauren joined Shaw Daniels Solutions at the end of 2018 as a Business Recruitment Administrator and is enjoying learning new skills with the view to continue her career with SDS.
Amy started her career in retail and worked up to be Operations Manager with a large pharmaceutical company; she was there for 8 years.
Amy then left retail and it is then when she gained her computer skills; from starting at administration to PA. Amy worked in the car sector and public sector.
Amy then took a career break to bring up a family but is now back and this is when she joined Shaw Daniels Solutions in May 2019 as Office Manager.
